Our 3rd Oceanside Leadership Academy (OLA) Cohort graduated on Thursday! Congrats to our own Sophie Finnigan and Cohen Chin for being part of the graduating class and taking on the challenge of growing their leadership skills! Chamber CEO, Scott Ashton had the opportunity to meet with high school students from Surfside Educational Academy today to share about the SOCAL Workforce project. He will also give presentations at Oceanside High and El Camino High School this week. Not familiar with SOCAL? SOCAL is a collaborative program between education and industry created by Tri-City Medical Center, the San Diego North Economic Development Council and Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, and Encinitas Chambers of Commerce. The vision is to allow middle school, high school, post-secondary students and transitioning adults to gain insights into career pathways while allowing businesses and local organizations to participate in these students’ career exploration.
