Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying marries longtime love Mark Manio (2024)

Pentatonix singer Scott Hoyingmarried his longtime love Mark Manio on Friday, July 7, in a seaside wedding in Santa Barbara, California.

The setting couldn't have been more romantic, as the outdoor ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara went off at sunset in front of their closest family and friends, according to People.

Both decked out incustom, off-white wedding tuxedos created by R. Swiader,the couplewalked down a mirrored floor aisle, while musician Kina Grannis sang Can't Help Falling in Love.

The grooms would make their way under a baby's breath archway, where they exchangedhandwritten vows, alongsidesinger and friend Christina Perri, who acted as their officiant.

Hoying, 31, and Manio, 32, both took to their respective Instagrams and shared a photo of themselves holding hands moments after making their marriage official:'Introducing Mr. & Mr. Scott & Mark Hoying,' they wrote in the caption.

With the goal of a 'timeless, unique experience', the duo recalled their time spentin Santa Barbara, celebrating Manio's birthday, when planning their nuptials.

'Mark and I both have a deep love for the beach and the ocean and some of our favorite, romantic, lifelong memories together are by the beach,' Hoying revealed.

Guests including Colton Haynes, Adam Rippon, Brittany Broski, Randy Jackson, Betty Who and of course, Hoying's Pentatonix group matesMitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee were in attendance.

After looking angelic in their matching white ensembles for the ceremony, the couple later changed into another custom outfit for the reception.

Wanting something a bit more relaxed and suited for the dance floor, they ended up pickingthe same color as the ceremony tuxes, just redesigned as a short-sleeved button-up.

As for the menu, the happy couple and their guests had their choice of braised beef short-rib with parsnip mousseline and wilted rainbow chard, seared free-range chicken breast with porcini mushroom risotto and vegetable lasagna.

They also added a few of Manio's favorite Filipino dishes such aslumpia and lechon, plus bao buns, crab cakes, chicken kebabs and mango mochi.

For dessert, they served a chocolate buttermilk cake designed in the shape of wings, and also included a donut and dessert wall.

While going with an all-white theme for the ceremony, the reception ended up being the opposite, which includedtwinkling lights and chandeliers that helped illuminate all-black floors and draping.

The tables, just like the aisle, were also mirrored to help make the space 'feel like we were dancing among the stars.'

'We wanted a big, epic wedding because our families are very close-knit, passionate and supportive of our love, which we think is so special,'Hoying explained.

'We wanted this to be an event that celebrates not only us, but our entire families on both sides—a moment we could cherish forever.'

The singer went on to confess they were looking to create a 'grandiose' and unique experience,' like nothing else we've ever experienced, just like our love for each other.'

Of course, the centerpiece of the reception was music, which began with the grooms picking out their own playlist with an emphasis on getting their guest on the dance floor.

But thenHoying surprised Manio with a performance of his new song Four, which is a love letter written for the model and social media star after their engagement last year.

The track, which has become his favorite out of his catalog, will be released on Hoying's upcoming EP, Parallel, which is slated to drop July 28.

To mark the song that was on repeat when they were first falling in love, the couple enlistedLoren Allred to perform Never Enough from The Greatest Showman for their first dance.

Hoying and Maniofirst met in Los Angeles in 2017 at a friend's birthday party, and were immediately drawn to each other.

'We talked the whole night and really it off,' the Arlington, Texas native recalled, before sharing how they quickly began to hang out together every day.

'I remember being blown away at how warm, wholesome and sweet Mark was. It was such a refreshing energy that I couldn't get enough of.'

Fast forward to June 2023, and the couple celebrated their six-year anniversary.

'He is truly one-of-a-kind,' Manio said of his husband. 'He leads through life with such a unique, electrifying presence. And of course, he is the most handsome man I have ever laid eyes on. He lights up my life in every single way.'

With the wedding celebration now in the rear-view mirror, the couple will now spend their honeymoon inPunta Mita, Mexico.

Beyond that, there's already been talk of 'starting a big ol' family'.

'He just loves life, loves people, loves every single part of me,' Hoying gushed. 'I just know he is going to be the most amazing father in the world to our children.'
