The US Navy Leadership and Others Illustrate the Bipartisan Nature of Supporting Rebuilding our Submarine Industrial Base. The world is depending on America to get itself organized, both our public and private sectors working together, to build the nuclear submarines that counter our adversaries in the Pacific and globally. https://lnkd.in/efaNFEJe

#NNSA is committed to transparency about its activities. Next month, we’ll host diplomats from 🇦🇺 🇬🇭 🇯🇵 🇲🇽 🇸🇬 🇸🇪 🇦🇪 and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization - CTBTO to see Sandia National Laboratories and Nevada National Security Sites. They will learn about U.S. support for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and the moratorium on nuclear explosive testing. Here’s why we think this kind of transparency is important. https://lnkd.in/g87nWBfb

As the world honors the victims of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, we must also continue to envision and work towards a world where we can live in peace and security, a world without nuclear weapons.

It's time to throw out the binder in exchange for our 𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 on just 𝙤𝙣𝙚-𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙚. 🚮Taken from the one-page Captain's Plan on U.S. nuclear submarines that serve to align teams of 110 throughout highly dynamic missions and challenges, the Lead With Purpose alignment plan allows your entire company to know the mission and current goals -- and the part they play in those -- while still being extremely adaptable in the face of constant change.Click the link below for more information on how it works! 🚀https://lnkd.in/gf3PUAcX

While the commercial nuclear accident at Three Mile Island may not directly have been #navalhistory, the accident had a profound effect on the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program both in 1979 and today. On March 28, 1979 in Middletown, Pa., the Unit 2 reactor partially melted down resulting in the most serious accident in U.S. commercial nuclear power plant operating history. In the wake of the accident, the Subcommittee on Energy Research and Production of the Committee on Science and Technology U.S. House of Representatives called upon Admiral Hyman G. Rickover to discuss his perspective on the incident. In his statement following the Three Mile Island Accident, Admiral Hyman G. Rickover outlined the safety record of the Naval Reactors Program (26 years accident free) and reviewed the 15 Principles of an effective and safe nuclear Program. Today, the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program still operates in accordance with these guiding principles, which is why the Program continues to operate safely and effectively with the support of the best possible people for the job.To learn more about the Three Mile Island accident and it's impact follow this link: https://ow.ly/Pf3J50QRloS

I know the nuclear weapon is truly great. The big problem would destroyed at least 60 percent of the population even larger. In the current US defense and weapon should be even enough of taking care of any regions conflicts at least much less scales compared of the population . Truly, many of the countries has the great defense as well. Not necessary go on the dead lock to all the nations.

The Centre for Military, Security and Strategic Studies, University of Calgary with the Military Museum have been having a series of public talks on key security issues facing Canada. On November 23 2023, I was privilege to have been able to share my thoughts on the changing Nuclear Weapons international security environment. We are seeing a massive modernization of the deterrent forces of all of the major nuclear powers. But even more troubling is the emerging warheads and delivery systems that can be thought of as being war-fighting. So moving forward in an increasingly dangerous international great power system, what does it mean? In an attempt to answer this, my talk was titled "Thinking about the Unthinkable: The Modernization of Nuclear Weapons and their Delivery Systems".https://lnkd.in/gbGb9zDW
