Tania Buckley’s $18m Toorak home has been pulled from real estate listing sites after it lingered past the 100 days for sale milestone.
But the luxurious residence with a 500-bottle cellar, pool and basketball court is still for sale, with ongoing interest from international buyers — though industry sources have noted local feedback is understood to lie millions of dollars short of the asking price.

And it’s not the only high-profile address languishing in the top-end ‘burb, with a sale yet to be finalised for a nearby residence listed with Melbourne house-price record hopes of $75m-$82.5m, which hit the open market the exact same day as the Buckley mansion on March 14.
That home is owned by fashion-industry member Susan Lord and her husband John.

Both homes are understood to have been quietly canvassed to Melbourne’s elite prior to being listed on real estate websites.
Records show Buckley bought the Tudor-style mansion with her then husband, AFL playing and coaching great Nathan Buckley, for $3.92m in 2007.
The former Collingwood Football Club captain played with the side from 1994-2007, and was in the coaching box for the Magpies from 2012-2021. He was also a contestant on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2022.

Tania Buckley was one of the AFL’s best-known partners, with a number of high-profile red-carpet appearances building her profile before the pair separated in 2020.
She has recently been connected with businessman and motorsport aficionado Marcus Kelly, with both of her children Jett and Ayce racing go-carts.

The Toorak home landed with her during the divorce, and was originally listed with a $16.8m-$18m asking price on March 14, about 120 days ago — almost a third of a year.
The Herald Sun understands Kay & Burton managing director Ross Savas is overseas and co-listing agent Jamie Mi this week said she was unable to discuss the property.

But Toorak property insiders said the home was still for sale, and was understood to have been pulled from online listing sites for the July school holidays, when real estate interest in the blue-chip suburb is traditionally at a low ebb.
Earlier in the year Mr Savas indicated international buyers were seeking more time to inspect the home.
And industry sources have hinted an offshore buyer might be the best chance of the home notching a sale in the $16.8m-$18m price range that was initially advertised, with local buyer interest as much as $5m below that level.

The five-bedroom mansion on a 1253sq m allotment in a desirable Toorak street features French smoked oak herringbone floors, a Cheminees Philippe fireplace and designer wallpaper.
The home’s four upper-level bedrooms all have balcony access and views over the leafy gardens, while the main comes with its own kitchenette, a travertine stone ensuite and a concealed study nook.

In March, Buckley told the Herald Sun the sale would be part of her next step to build a new home with a vineyard as she starts a new chapter.

The award-winning address spans a 3200sq m block, and was built in 2018.
The nearby mansion in Macquarie Rd, Toorak is still on the market for $82.5m.
